What does a first session with a personal trainer look like?

A first session with a personal trainer is a relaxed conversation, not a fitness exam — and that's exactly how we approach it at Fabryka Ruchu in Rzeszów. It's the moment when we get to know you, your goals and your lifestyle, so we can build a plan that will genuinely work.

A conversation about your goals and lifestyle

Before we start exercising, we talk first. We want to understand why you're here and what matters to you:

  • What your goal is — losing weight, strengthening your body, feeling better, returning to activity
  • What your typical week looks like and how much time you realistically have for training
  • Your current activity level and your previous experience with movement
  • What you enjoy and what you definitely don't want to do

A short interview and assessment

The second part is a short interview that helps us train safely. We ask about things that genuinely affect the choice of exercises:

  • Past injuries, surgeries, pain and limitations in movement
  • Your work style — sedentary or active — as well as sleep quality and stress levels
  • How you feel and how your body responds to effort

You don't need to be in shape to start. The first session is precisely there to establish a safe starting point — with no judgement or comparisons.

Setting the plan and what to expect

Based on the conversation and interview, we agree on a direction together. You leave the session with a clear picture of the next steps:

  • A suggested type of training and frequency matched to your schedule
  • Realistic goals spread out over time, instead of promises of "results in a week"
  • Answers to your questions and reassurance about any worries

If you have chronic conditions, we may suggest consulting a doctor beforehand — your safety is our top priority.

How to prepare?

You don't need much for the first meeting. It's enough to:

  • Wear comfortable clothing and training shoes, and bring water
  • Have information ready about any injuries or doctor's recommendations
  • Come with an open mind and your questions — this is your time
